Looking for quality Apprentices?
Recruiting Apprentices today provides the skilled Technicians your business will need in the future. At Skillnet we can help you recruit and train the best Apprentice Technicians for your business.

By maintaining links with hundreds of schools and colleges we always maintain a selection of bright, committed applicants for you to choose from, and once you have hired them we will help you to train them in all of the skills they will need to become fully qualified technicians. Training for Apprentices aged 16-18 is paid for by the Learning and Skills Council.

Selecting the right Apprentice.
We take a great deal of care to understand your precise requirements before matching any potential Apprentices to you. Before we put them forward for interview with you we take all of our applicants through a rigorous selection process to test their commitment, mechanical aptitude and academic ability. This process includes a series of tests, face to face interviews and presentations. On average for every 1 applicant that you see we have tested and interviewed a further 7. Of course, as these applicants will become your employees, you get the final say on which applicant(s) you hire.

First-class training facilities for first class results
To make sure that your Apprentices receive the best possible training we have invested more than £1million in our new Kia training facility and we are confident that our training centre sets the benchmark for quality in the sector.

We will:
Assist with finding, interviewing and hiring your Apprentice
Create a training programme for each Apprentice that meets their needs and your needs as an employer, within the overall structure of the Kia Technical Training Programme.
Deliver practical and theoretical training to apprentices at the Kia Academy Training Centre in Watford.
Visit you and your Apprentice regularly to assess progress and plan future training.

Flexible schedule

We try to be as flexible as possible to minimise time away from the dealership during busy periods. Apprentices benefit from regular visits at their dealership by a trained assessor and block release training at our state-of-the-art training facility in Watford.
